Overview

ANIMAIA is set in an 'alternate history' land where humans evolved to communicate with animals through a non-verbal method called 'syncing'. Most humans can sync with only one or two animal classes such as mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. Arno Steele, the main character, is able to sync with all four classes, and some of his teachers, friends, and opponents think he could be a returning leader called The Truemore.
The animal eaters, called fleshers, want to eliminate him before Animaia sustains a vegan and animal rights world over which a conflict was fought decades ago.
